Native Hawaiian & Pacific Islander Health & Fitness Day Reminder

Hi Everyone!  Remember that post I did awhile back about Native Hawaiian & Pacific Islander Health Fitness Day @ UCLA?  Well, if you haven’t already, don’t forget to sign up!  I received in my email today a Media Advisory letter which I’m posting below for those of you interested and for more information, you can contact toby.chaudhuri@ed.gov.

RSVPs for regular, non-media attendees can be sent to WhiteHouseAAPI@ed.gov

**NOTE: Space is limited.  Media representatives who wish to cover this event should pre-credential by emailing their name, title, organization and contact information by 3 p.m. PT on Friday, April 1 to Toby Chaudhuri at toby.chaudhuri@ed.gov.  Valid federal – or state-identification must be presented to pick-up credentials at the Media Check-in desk at the UCLA intramural Field North Athletic entrance on Saturday, April 2.

  1. Nani…this promises to be a wonderful day and did you know Anuhea and Taimane will be dancing with all the dancers from Nonosina of Polynesian decent. It’s a beautiful day in the neighborhood !

  2. I just remembered that Samoan Nurses Association will also be conducting diabetes screening and will have information on the upcoming free mammogram screening in early April – Don’t forget to stop by their booth and spread the word. Their services are valuable and available to all!

  3. thanks for the heads up, aunty maile! Diabetes screening is REALLY important in the community and PIs are one of those groups who refuse to get tested for anything – Diabetes and mammograms included.

Let me know how it goes! I’m jealous I can’t attend. Pictures so I can post them to my blog, please! 🙂
