Pacific Islander Higher Education Conference

This program, We Rise! Pacific Islander Higher Education Conference, is for AAPI High School Students & AAPI Community College Students and their parents.  It is a day of workshops, lunch, and a resource fair.  One of the committee members from my Thesis committee will also be speaking, Keith Camacho, who is a totally awesome Chamorro and professor in the AAS department at UCLA.

It’s free, but you have to Register.  I think there will also be on-site registration, but I’m not 100%.

I will be attending representing APALA and doing Talk Story kine stuff with the keiki from 9am – Noon!  This means that all you PIs who have little ones can still attend and get information about attending college.  It’s never too early or too late to start planning!

Hope to see you there…
