2nd Annual Southern California Slack Key Festival December 22, 2008

On Sunday, Jan. 18, 2009, the Redondo Beach Performing Arts center will be featuring the 2nd annual So Cal Slack Key Festival. This event is done by the same people who put on the Annual Aloha Falsetto Festival which takes place in July

Featured performers include:

Pahinui Hawaiian Band: Cyril Pahinui, Sonny Lim, Kunia Galdeira & Peter Moon Jr

Maunalua: Na Hoku Hanohano Award Winners, Group of the Year

Makana: Winner, Best World Album

Barry Flanagan: Multiple Na Hoku Hanohano Award Winner

John Keawe: Grammy Winner, Na Hoku Hanohano Ki ho’alu Winner

Jeff Peterson: Grammy Winner, Na Hoku Hanohano Ki ho’alu Winne

Jim “Kimo” West: Platinum/Gold Recording Artist

Workshops are yet TBD, but they will be taking place on Saturday, Jan. 17, at a location still TBD.
